Rainy Days in the Fraser Valley
Living in the Fraser Valley, we can be guaranteed of two things, breathtaking views and rain...LOTS of rain. While the occasional cozy rainy day can be refreshing, it quickly becomes old news when it ruins our plans and traps us inside. Lucky for us, we are surrounded by tons of local business & artisans that we can explore to keep ourselves busy on those forsaken wet (and sometimes miserable) days. Not only will you be making the best out of a rainy day, but also helping your community by showing a little local business love... and we’re all about the local love at Old Yale!
Beer Cocktail: Amber Rootbeer Cocktail
Were we the only ones who wondered why Rootbeer was called “Rootbeer” when we were kids? I mean, nothing about “Root” or “Beer” sounded appetizing at all but somehow it ended up being a childhood fave. Now here we are, adults, enjoying our craft beers and such, all grown up.
Sooo, why not combine your current favorite with a childhood fave and make a delicious Amber Rootbeer Cocktail!
Ingredients:
1oz Makers Mark Bourbon
5oz Phillip’s Craft Rootbeer (or any Rootbeer of your choice)
Splash of Grenadine
Here’s how to craft your own Amber Rootbeer Cocktail:
Step 1: Combine 1oz Makers Mark Bourbon and 5oz Phillips Craft Rootbeer in your 12oz Old Yale Brewing glass.
Step 2: Top up the glass with approx. 6oz of our River Valley Amber ( which can ONLY be purchased at Old Yale in a Growler, Crowler or 32oz cans)
Step 3: Add a splash of Grenadine
Step 4: Give your cocktail a lil mix, Kick back, sip and enjoy!
