Took us long enough (we know!) BUT the 5000 sq ft Front Porch Patio at Old Yale is officially WINTER-READY!!
Watch the video below for the full tour, but here’s what we’ve done…
+ Brand NEW (and VERY sturdy) Tents! These bad boys are bigger and are definitely NOT going anywhere in the Winter winds that are sure to come again… plus they’ve got walls… and better yet, walls with windows, not only keeping you warm and cozy BUT keeping that outdoor patio vibe we’re all accustom to over here at OYB!
+ Speaking of tents… We added more covered areas so that you don’t have to get cold and wet while you’re waiting to enter the Patio and Tasting Room OR while you’re picking up your delicious Campfire Kitchen order!
+ AND the coolest item we’ve added: Forced Air Heating System for the Tents! We wanted to keep you guys cozy and toasty while you sip on your beers, but regular patio heaters just didn’t seem like enough, so we got ourselves a pretty cool system that not only eliminates the risk of anyone getting burned, patio heaters tipping over and CO2 being produced within the tent, but it also allows the heat to be evenly dispersed with less cold spots AND this system allows for the area in our covered patio to be constantly exchanging (every 8-10 minutes to be exact). Covered tented patios traditionally become very humid and stale pretty quickly, with all that’s going on, we wanted to avoid that at all costs. So, since our system pre heats the fresh outside air before blowing it into the patio, now you guys can be comfortable knowing that you’re breathing in fresh Fraser Valley air, pre-heated to the perfect patio beer drinkin’ temperature…
OKAY now that we’ve all had a quick lesson in heating systems (#science) we can get back to what we do best, enjoying craft beers, outside at Old Yale!
We’ve still got a few more things to do like filling this bad boy with Christmas Trees and whatnot, but we’re finally ready!!
OH and In case you missed it, we also added new plexi-glass dividers in the Tasting Room which has provided us with more indoor seating, yay!
See you soon, friends! *Please remember to review our Covid-19 guidelines before coming, you can find those here.
