There’s no one that deserves a little extra love on V-Day quite like your radical gal pal’s, and although quarantine may be keeping us from celebrating in the usual way we’d like, there’s so many ways you can show those special ladies in your life just how much they mean to ya! Though, we don’t know about you, but we’re sure missing girls night’s watching 90 Day Fiance and eating copious amounts of food right about now. Sigh. But for the time being, we’ve put together a bomb list of what you can do for your girl gang this “ Gal-entine’s Day”!
Make the ULTIMATE care package
Who doesn’t love a good at home self care day? Honestly we need LOTS of those right now. Head over to the Local Space here in Chilliwack to stock up on all the lotions, bubble bath and smelly good things you need to put together your package. Make sure you throw in a couple face masks and a 6-pack of Mango Wheats and you’ve just made THE best care package like ever. Don’t forget to add in a cute little card with some kind words about how much they mean to you!
Make you Gal-entine something handmade!
There’s nothing more special than receiving a hand made gift someone made with their own two hands…so cute! We’re sure we’ve all picked up tons of obscure hobbies over quarantine, and now is the time to use them! Pull out those crochet needles and paint brushes and start crafting! Don’t forget to throw in tons of Valentine’s cards with your fave puns on them!
Pinterest is a great spot to check for some really cool and unique gifts that will have your friends not believing that you actually made it.. Just take it as a compliment.

Layer up and spend the day out side with your squad! There’s tons of spots along the Vedder Trail that make perfect picnic spots, maybe hike the Tea Pot or find a safe spot to have a campfire! Spending the day around a campfire, cracking beers and laughing about all the fun memories you have together sounds like one heck of a time.
Have a Gal-entine’s Day themed cook off
Each person gets to pick a recipe that you make together- which can be via Zoom call if needed! Then decide who picked the better dish! Extra points for picking the perfect beer pairing ( You can check out what dishes go best with what beer on OYB’S “beer” page).
We also maayyybe have the PERFECT V-Day recipe on our blog page as well…three words. Baked. Feta. Pasta. It’s been flooding on our TikToks and Instagram’s for weeks so of COURSE we had to try it…AMAZING!!

What’s Gal-entine’s Day without Old Yale?
We’re in full V-Day swing over here at Old Yale!! We’ll be handing out Valentine’s Day treats, cards and playing Rom Coms on the TV’s all day long ! AND we just introduced a new member to out Trailblazers series that you all need to meet…our Coconut IPA! We think you guys will really hit if off. This IPA is hoppy, tropical and likes Pina Coloda’s and getting caught in the rain.
Ps we also have wine and cider for all of you non-beer loving gals!
