We’ve finally done. We have put together a COLOSSAL list of allllll our favourite local spots that we think you need to hit this summer. Get out a pen and paper because you’re going to want to add these to your lists!
HOPE
Mountainview Brewing
Starting the adventure off in Hope, Mountainview Brewing is a place you can’t miss! Brewing right in Hope with fresh mountain water, it really doesn’t get more Canadian than this! We suggest getting one of their delicious flatbreads and pairing it with their “This Cascadian Life Rice Lager”. Grab a seat inside or on their patio!
CHILLIWACK:
Old Yale Brewing
Your first stop on this adventure obviously has to be Old Yale…because.. duh?! Come by our Tasting Room and grab a pint of some beer and some awesome snacks! Our Duck Fat Crisps paired with our classic Knotty Blonde Ale are sure to never disappoint you and only leaving you wanted to order another round!
Field House
With this location in the heart of downtown Chilliwack, it’s the perfect place to hit as you’re browsing around all the local shops! We suggest grabbing a Wood Fired Italian Sub (only this location) and the Solo Hop Citra Pils.
Farm House
These are our neighbours just down the road! Give them a warm welcome if you have not yet had a chance to visit them, and grab one of those AWESOME PIZZAS!! With a fairy lit outdoor patio, this place is perfect for those warm summer nights. We suggest grabbing any of their pizzas and pairing it with Greendale Golden Ale. Keep it local, friends!
Brick Layer
This one’s located right by Fieldhouse Chilliwack, so you can turn it into a true brewery tour! Why go to one when you can go to both amirite?? Come here with a pal and grab and a Raspberry Brut Saison paired with their Charcuterie plate!
YARROW:
Lake Bottom Cider
Attention Attention! Another new place to hit up this summer!!! Lake Bottom has a gorgeous lawn that is perfect to make all of your summer picnic dreams come true. We suggest ordering the Kiss of Summer Cider paired with any of their snacks, or grabbing a bite from the food truck!
Whispering Horse Winery
This beautiful vineyard in Yarrow will make you feel like you have stepped out of the Valley and into wine country! With stunning rows of grapes right there in front of you, this place will enchant you with their wine and their scenery. We recommend trying their not so typical rose ( Palomino WILD 2019) paired with their snack box. A perfect way to spend any summer night or afternoon picnic!
ABBOTSFORD:
Ripples / New Wave
Ripples winery / distillery will truly make you feel like you have entered into an enchanted forest. With a large indoor area FILLED with greenery and even a secret coy pond, the views are sure to WOW you. With a long list of unique and eye catching cocktail experiences and house made spirits, there’s a little something for everyone ! We suggest ordering the Carnival Cocktail and the baked brie!
Mt. Lehman Winery
Go in for a tasting and pick out your favourite, or just grab a bottle to enjoy with a friend outside with this breath taking view! They don’t offer a food menu but you’re welcome to bring you own snacks and hangout on the lawn! You can also make this your first stop on your mini wine tour by hitting the next two wineries next! Perfect for a summer bike tour.
Singletree
Located just down the street from Mt. Lehman winery, this beautiful winery also located in Abbotsford, but they just opened a second location out in the Okanagan! We suggest tasting their delicious Red Blend, 2014 Harness. As your second stop on your Abbotsford Wine Tour, it is only right that you visit this next one too…
Seaside Pearl
The last ( but certainly not least) stop on your mini tour is Seaside Pearl. This Abbotsford gem is a boutique winery that has a unique little chapel that truly adds to the scenery and experience. We suggest doing a tasting or purchasing their 2018 Syrah or Magnolias Rose!
Ravens Brewing
Located in Abbotsford industrial area, this local classic has tons of delicious brews on tap but our personal favourite is the Daydreamin’ Passionfruit Session Sour! Along with awesome brews, they also offer cocktails and spirits made from their very own spirits line! COOL! Pair your drinks with their house made nachos, paninis, or flatbreads!
Trading Post
Located in central Abbotsford, Trading Post offers an oh so cozy patio ( our favourite) and tons of indoor seating. They’ve got a large food menu that even your vegan and gluten free buddies are sure to love! Our favourite combo is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with the Smash Saison or the Raspberry Wheat Ale - after all - who doesn’t like Raspberry beer???
Field House
Go visit our friends over at Fieldhouse and grab a spot on their lawn or inside their tasting room! The lawn is perfect for a warm day or a mid day pick-me-up. Our favourite is the seasonal Dark Sour or the classic Dutch Pale Ale paired with the warm pretzel ( or TWO ) with the mustard!! The mustard is a MUST.
Maan Farms
This place is definitely NOT your typical family farm… from goat yoga, to haunted corn mazes, to ESTATE WINERY - there’s nothing they can’t do! Go in for a wine tasting and try one of their award winning dessert berry wines all made from their own BERRIES! Mama Maan dishes up some deliciously authentic Indian food at their Country Kitchen - be sure to stop by and allow enough time for a tasting and a browse of the farm!
Mission
Mission Springs
Last but certainly not least we’ve got Mission Springs! This place has been apart of the community of Mission since 1996!!! This neighbourhood pub offers a MASSIVE menu with a list of gourmet FRIES… yummmm! With three patios and a children’s play place, it’s definitely the best place to bring to the whole family. Come visit this gem and grab some gourmet fries and a Lougheed Lager.
