You’ve heard of the Starbucks Secret Menu right? It’s pretty hush hush, but if you know, you’ve probably heard about “The Unicorn”, “Rainbow”, “Sparkle Frappuccinos” and a couple other beverages crafted for the ‘gram… the ones that aren’t listed on the Starbucks Menu but if you flash that gold card and whisper your order to the barista, your super secret Venti is on it’s way. So… that’s basically what this is, just with fewer sparkles and much (MUCH) more beer.
Over the years, we’ve found some secret concoctions, some delicious blends, and some ideal environments for getting the most out of our beer (yes, you WILL catch more fish if you do it while sipping on a Head Shaker Honey Lager… it’s science). But it wouldn’t be right to keep these secrets all to ourselves! So we’ve put together our list of #OYBProTips for you to enjoy as well:
MANGO IPA
Blend equal parts of our smooth and tropical Moon Dance Mango Wheat with our bold and hoppy West Coast IPA to create your own Mango IPA. A little less bitter than our West Coast IPA and somehow EVEN juicier than our Mango on its own! We know, is it even possible!? Yes. Yes, it is.
Sasquatch Float
Ice cream is delicious, our Sasquatch Stout is delicious, put them together and it is VEEERY delicious. This combo is so good we had to make it available in the tasting room (no secret menu necessary). Our Sasquatch Float features our award-winning and mysterious Sasquatch Stout with French Vanilla Ice Cream and is drizzled with Caramel sauce… are you drooling yet or is it just us?? See you soon!
Drink Off Trail Pale Ale Off Trail
This one seems a little obvious but our Off Trail Pale Ale tastes better… you guessed it… off trail! We brewed this balanced and refreshing Pale Ale to be enjoyed in the great outdoors - it just tastes better that way.
GRAPEFRUIT IPA
The sweet and tart flavours of Grapefruit juice are a PERFECT match for our bold and hoppy West Coast IPA. Blend some still or sparkling grapefruit juice into our West Coast IPA and you’ll get a delicious Grapefruit IPA! A little extra tip… add a shot of Vodka and you’ve got a Greyhound IPA Beer Cocktail… mind blown right??
PINK LEMONADE SOUR
Say hello to your new favourite summertime beer: the Pink Lemonade Sour. Take equal parts of our juicy Raspberry Lemon Berliner Weisse with our refreshingly tart Gin Fizz Citrus Sour and you’ve got your very own Pink Lemonade Sour. An EVEN more refreshingly tart experience! We highly recommend sipping on this one while lounging in the sunshine.
West Coast IPA Temperature Matters
Let our West Coast IPA warm-up just ever so slightly before you enjoy it, this will mellow the bitterness and allow for the aromas to shine. We recommend popping it into an Old Yale Hydro Flask to keep it RIGHT at that perfect temp.
MANGO CURRANT SOUR
Another fruity combo to seriously elevate your Summer beer game. Blend equal parts our smooth and tropical Moon Dance Mango Wheat with the deep dark fruit flavours in our Black Currant Ginger Sour and you’ve got a Mango Currant Sour! YUM.
BLONDE GRAPEFRUIT RADLER
Make your own Radler by mixing our crisp, clean and straightforward Knotty Blond Ale with your favourite sparkling or still Grapefruit Juice! The perfect sweet, tart and sessionable beer.
Psst. This Blonde Radler can work with a variety of different Juices but we just LOVE the tart flavour Grapefruits offer so we always suggest it but feel free to get a little creative on your own!
You’ll catch more fish if you sip on a head shaker honey lager
Enjoy a Head Shaker Honey Lager while fishing… for obvious reasons… but also because it’ll make the fish bite more. Only proven by Team OYB.
Okay, now that you’ve read this blog post and surely you’ve already run to the fridge to mix yourself up a Pink Lemonade Sour, you are most definitely an OYB Pro. BUT, if you want to take it to the next level it may be time to dabble in using our brews to make tasty cocktails or delicious meals.
