Hoppy Easter, craft beer fam!
Easter is just around the corner, and we’re over here wondering why kids get to have all the fun???? We think it’s time to embrace that inner child by throwing an Adult Easter Egg Hunt with OYB BEER!
We’ve put together some #OYBProTips to help guide you towards hosting one HOPPIN’ partaaaay!!
Keep in mind, this isn’t your average mom’s Easter Egg Hunt - this one is for the craft beer lover adults only…
Here we go!
Tip #1: get prepared.
Figure out which craft beer lover pals you’d like to gather up and start making your guest list! Keep things simple by planning out a text invite, creating an event on social media, OR get fancy with it by making cute homemade cards!
If you have a yard to hold your gathering, perfect! If not, make it an indoor hunt or see if you can host it in a friend’s backyard!!
Tip #2: BEER!!!
Time for the most important question of all…What’s the beer situation going to look like??? Well, we suggest emphasizing that it’s a BYOB (bring your own beer) party! Unless of course, your feelin’ extra generous & want to take care of the costs…
Depending on how many people are coming, you’ll need to figure out how much beer is needed for the festivities! You could ask everyone to bring at least one tasty OYB 6-pack to contribute to the Beer Hunt… OR purchase all the beer from Old Yale Brewing ahead of time & charge a cover fee to help with the costs!
tip #3: add some décor.
Liven up your space by adding décor! Hit up a store to find some decorations OR hop into the Spring spirit by gettin’ crafty… After all, is it really even Easter if you didn’t decorate some eggs?!
Pro Tip: Instead of a vase, use a Growler to place your tulips in!
tip #4: Theme it up.
When it comes to an Adult Easter Egg Hunt with beer, you’ll wanna look the part. This party just wouldn’t be complete without a Brewery Swag theme, it just wouldn’t. We’re talking an Old Yale Tee, Hop Hat, beer drinkin’ stretchy pants (aka OYB Joggers)… and the list goes on & on!
Tip #4: make a snack Spread
When there’s beer involved, there’s got to be food involved! Those two just go hand in hand. Here are just a few tasty finger foods we recommend laying out for all your guests to enjoy: Sasquatch Stout Easter Cookies, Pretzels with Off Trail Pale Ale Cheese Dip, Delived Eggs, and Wings! OH and you gotta eat your fruit & veggies friends, you just gotta. Throw in some veggies & dip and chop up some watermelon to complete your snack spread!
Pro Tip: Don’t forget the chocolate! It’s not Easter without some mini eggs #amiright?
Tip #5: Create some fun rules.
Get that creative wheel turning and think of some fun rules for your Beer Hunt! These are just some suggestions:
Once you find a beer, you must drink it before continuing the search.
Everyone has to hop like a bunny to get around.
The first friend to find 4 beers wins!! You can make the limit whatever you’d like.
Winner gets a prize!!
Tip #6: have a designated beer hider.
Someone has to hide the beers… that someone has to be fine with not participating in the search… AND that someone is probably you!! Make sure to hide them well!!
Tip: #7: Throw your party!
Put your plan into action! Invite your friends & throw one hoppin’ party!
Okay, there you have it, some Old Yale tips and tricks to make the most out of your Adult Easter Egg Hunt!
HOPPY EASTER!! And friends… we absolutely LOVE seeing your adventures with OYB, so next time you’re celebrating with a beer-in-hand, snap a pic and tag us @oldyalebrewing or with the hashtag #oldyalebrewing.
