Miracle at Old Yale Brewing coming this November
Okay, yes, we know, we know, it’s only October, what on earth are we doing talking about Christmas already? … We think it’s a little crazy too, BUT once you read below and hear what we’ve got planned, we think you’ll forgive us….right? right?!?

Trails To Blaze: Lindeman Lake
Well folks, although peak hiking season may be wrapping up, there is still time to soak up any sun we have left and go for a hike. Today, we will be blazing the trail of Lindeman Lake, one of the most popular hikes in Chilliwack!
Here’s everything you need to know…
Difficulty: Intermediate
Time: 2 hours
Round-Trip: 3.4km
Elevation Gain: 300 meters
Season: May - October(ish)
Dog Friendly: Yes (On-Leash)
GETTING THERE
Getting to Lindeman Lake may take a while, but is pretty simple. Get off the highway at Vedder Road, then head south until you get to the roundabout at the Vedder Bridge (Or turn left on South Sumas Road to stop at OYB for your beer)! Head left at the roundabout, then travel on Chilliwack Lake Road for about 40kms until you see a sign for a pullout on the left. Then, park in the parking lot and head up! Don’t forget your post hike beers in the car!
THE TRAIL
Once you hit the trail, you'll wind through a forest that feels like something straight out of a fairy tale. Towering fir and cedar trees create a canopy that keeps you cool, even on the hottest days. The hike has its own soundtrack, provided by several small waterfalls and cascades along the way. They're like mini-oases where you can stop, cool off, and snap some pics. This trail does have some pretty steep sections, but we promise it is worth it!
And then, suddenly, you're there. Lindeman Lake, with its crystal-clear, turquoise waters, is nestled amid the mountains. It's the kind of place where you'll want to kick back, relax, and simply soak it all in. Some brave souls even take a dip (prepare for chilly waters!).
For the overachievers out there, you can extend your hike by heading to Greendrop Lake. It adds some more miles and elevation gain, but hey, another stunning lake awaits you.
CELEBRATORY BEERS
We all know that no hike is complete without a celebratory beer at the top. At Lindeman Lake, the breathtaking lake views surely call for a Moon Dance Mango Wheat at the top. Pack them in an OYB Cooler Sleeve to keep them cold all the way up!
There you have it, the ultimate guide to one of the most beautiful trails in the Fraser Valley. Make sure to tag us in your photos if you decide to take on this hike!
Cheers, friends!
