‘Tis the Season for warmth, love and giving back!

The holidays are here, and at Old Yale Brewing, we’re thrilled to have wrapped up (pun intended!) our 5th annual Holiday Donation Program. Our goal? To sprinkle a little extra cheer and make the season brighter for those in our community.

This year, we teamed up with local Elementary Schools in Chilliwack and Abbotsford, as well as the amazing folks at Chilliwack Adopt-A-Senior, to bring Christmas magic to over 100 kids and 20 seniors. It’s safe to say our team fully embraced their roles as Santa’s helpers, hunting down the perfect toys, cozy clothes, treats, and personal touches that we hoped would light up their holidays.

Of course, no holiday prep is complete without the ultimate test of patience—wrapping. Let’s just say our team spent more time with tape and scissors than they ever thought possible! But each carefully wrapped gift was filled with love (and a little extra tape, just to be sure).

To our incredible Old Yale Brewing crew, you’re the real MVPs of this program. Your time, energy, and massive hearts are what make all of this possible.

We share this not to pat ourselves on the back, but to hopefully spread a little inspiration and inspire a ripple effect of kindness. Whether it’s “adopting” a senior or family of your own, donating to a local nonprofit like the food bank or something as simple as baking some cookies for your neighbour, giving a bigger tip than usual to your favourite server, shopping local instead of hitting the big chains or bringing in surprise coffees for your co-workers, there are so many ways to share the love this season!

And if you’re in the giving spirit, you could always pay it forward at your favorite local brewery (hint, hint) by buying a beer for the person behind you. 😉
